Essex House Hotel
The hotel's newly renovated public interiors are an art decor masterpiece and the location makes this the perfect place to stay. Built in 1931 and reopened in 1991, it is traditional, stately property. The rooms and bathrooms resemble those of a traditional English country house. Fabrics and furnishings are elegant and inviting. Baths are in marble and chrome and feature double sinks and separate stall showers. Both rooms and bathrooms are medium to large in size in good condition. There are 2 restaurants, one informal restaurant which features continental cuisine facing Central Park and resembling a lush pre-war English greenhouse. The other restaurant features artwork by Billy Dee Williams and James Dean. |
